Lots of space, your own hardware
A storage server gives you a whole machine full of hard disks: ideal for backups, Nextcloud, media libraries, archives, object storage or as a target for other servers. The table above starts with servers from 8 TB of HDD space. In the second filter row you can pick the total capacity, the number of drives and the size of the single disks, for example 24 drives with 22 TB each.
- From 8 TB to several hundred TB of HDD space, many models with an extra SSD or NVMe for the operating system.
- Hard RAID controllers on selected models, otherwise software RAID with Linux mdadm or ZFS.
- Servers from OVH and Hetzner in Europe, Canada and Asia.

Frequently asked questions
Which RAID level should I use?
For backups and archives RAID 6 or RAID-Z2 is a good balance of space and safety, because two disks may fail. For speed, RAID 10 is better but leaves half of the raw capacity.
Can I use the server for Nextcloud?
Yes. With full root access you can install Nextcloud, Seafile, MinIO or any other software. For the database we recommend a model with an SSD or NVMe in addition to the HDDs.
Is the HDD space shown before or after RAID?
The table shows the raw capacity of all disks. The usable space depends on the RAID level you choose.
Is KYC required?
No mandatory KYC.
